IMPORTANT NOTE TO STUDENTS: The syllabi on this web site should be printed out and consulted regularly.

Specifically, they contain information about syllabus supplements that you are responsible for downloading, printing out, and bringing to class.  These supplements are important in enabling you to follow class discussions. In essence, they are my lecture notes. They can be accessed by hyperlinks in the fixed, left hand frame of this web site. (There they are indicated as "657 Supplement 1," "657 Supplement  2" . . . "657 Supplement 8," and similarly for BSM 477.)

In addition, for all assigned chapters, there are both short-answer and essay-type study-review questions that you can  download and print out if you wish. They too can be accessed from the left-hand frame, where they follow the syllabus supplements, under their own heading.

Finally, all reading assignments in Capitalism and, in BSM 477, in Supplementary Readings in Macroeconomics* as well, can be accessed from the left-hand frame.

Clicking on "MBFE 657" brings up the Syllabus for MBFE 657

2006 Addendum: The Syllabus for Reisman's Jefferson School Program of Self-Education in the Economic Theory and Political Philosophy of Capitalism. This syllabus contains lists of supplementary readings to accompany Capitalism. To find them, search the syllabus under "Readings/Lectures" (but without the quotation marks).

*Regrettably, Supplementary Readings in Macroeconomics does not appear on this website. Its removal was necessary in order to avoid possible copyright problems.
